Rating : - Versatile and great option for the price I purchased this package to mount the speakers from my Onkyo S6300 home theater package. After a week of use I am currently pleased with them. They installed easily and I have not had any problems with them moving after about a week of daily use. They adjusted nicely to meet the needs of where I wanted the speakers to go and were easy to affix to the speakers. I am not exactly sure how much my speakers weigh, but they are not real heavy, although they are kind of big (about 12" x 5") and these mounts hold them without problem.
I would have given it 5 stars, but I was a little dissappointed that the part of the mount that is screwed/bolted into the wall is just about 1/2" short of being a standard size to mount to a standard electrical box. I pre-wired my home theater room for sound and ran all the speaker wire to an electrical/outlet box in each location. It would have been nice if I could have mounted these directly on top of those boxes to make for a slightly better and more clean look as well as not having to deal with extra holes to screw them in. However, this is not a big deal and after mounting them and attaching the speakers I was able to hide the speaker plates with the speakers themselves.
Overall I am pleased with these speaker mounts and would recommend them. I will continue to watch them closely to see if they tend to sag or move out of alignment over time as others have mentioned a problem with, but so far so good for me. Read more ... | |
